Témara, the Kasbah and Haras:

To the south of Rabat, about 16km along the coastal road or motorway, we discover the city of Témara. It offers a string of beaches with fine sand. Beginning with the beach El Harhoura with its microclimate and its neighboring forest, the beach Sidi Al Abed, the great Val d'Or, the small Val golden sands gold… So many beautiful beaches also one that offering other infrastructure necessary to host the most enjoyable moments by the sea A 1Km within, in the city center, stands a Kasbah surrounded by ramparts. Formerly residence of the tribe Oudayas, it is home to a renowned Haras nationally and internationally where you can admire the pure Arab blood.

Major National Zoo: Founded in 1969. National Zoological Park is located northwest of temara, Park prticipe to protect over 2000 animal (a1120 birds)

Disco, Hotels and Clubs:

TEMARA VILLE has an old kasbah , dating from Moulay Ismail's reign. Other than that, there's little else to delay you, unless you want to stock up for picnics on the beach or the campsites further south. TEMARA PLAGE consists of several sandy strips, plus a cluster of discos that provide a summer alternative to the lack of action in Rabat. Few people stay here overnight, other than the well-heeled of Rabat, who maintain summer villas. However, if you want a beach base for Rabat, there are three hotels . The Hôtel La Felouque (tel 03/774 4388, fax 774 4565; 400-800dh), by the main beach, known locally as Plage Les Sables d'Or, has a swimming pool, tennis courts and a well-regarded restaurant , Les Sables d'Or . Better value for money is the Hôtel Panorama (tel 03/774 4289, fax 774 4819; 200-400dh), whose terrace overlooks the beach; the staff are friendly, and there is some attempt to maintain lawns and gardens. A third option is the Hôtel St Germain en Laye (tel 03/774 4230, fax 774 4850; 200-400dh); it's cheaper than La Felouque , and there are discounts out of season.

Back on the coastal road, there is a good restaurant , the San Francisco , built by a Moroccan returned from thirty years in California, and decorated with a full-size Ford Mustang bursting through the bar mirror.

Pleasure port:
The port of Sables d'Or is constructed in several phases:
1986: Construction of the port by CONTRANSIMEX, Romanian company;
In 2003: Confortement of protective structures.
GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION: The port is located on the Atlantic coast at the site of Sidi
Abed at 15 km southwest of the city of Rabat.
SIGNS OF MARITIME EQUIPMENT: A white light on each head of the two dikes.
SERVICE TO PORT: Piacenza; Fishing
STRONG POINTS OF PORT: A very sheltered harbor, it was never recorded.

The cave of El Harhoura II: Status; Cave El Harhoura II (latitude 33 ° 95'22 "N, longitude 6 ° 92'59''O) is located in the municipality of El Harhoura, in the city the Témara, about 25 km south of Rabat. It opens onto the ocean, in a former cliff dead, at a distance of about 200 m from shore and a height of 16m above the leveling General of Morocco.
